Strict topologies on measure spaces

Let X be a measurable space, let be a family of measurable subsets of it, and let be a subspace of complex measures on X that is also closed under restrictions of measures. In this paper we introduce the ‐convergence topology and the ‐strict topology on . Among other results, we find necessary and sufficient conditions for Hausdorff‐ness and coincide‐ness of these topologies. Applications to Lebesgue spaces, and also examples in Hausdorff topological spaces and locally compact groups are given.     

A canonical module characterization of Serre’s (R1)

In this short note, we give a characterization of domains satisfying Serre’s condition (R₁) in terms of their canonical modules. In the special case of toric rings, this generalizes a result of the second author [9 Yanagawa, K. (2015). Dualizing complexes of seminormal a?ne semigroup rings and toric face rings. J. Algebra 425:367–391.[Crossref], [Web of Science ®] , [Google Scholar]] where the normality is described in terms of the “shape” of the canonical module.     

Torsion simple modules over the quantum spatial ageing algebra

Various classes of simple torsion modules are classified over the quantum spatial ageing algebra (this is a Noetherian algebra of Gelfand-Kirillov dimension 4). Explicit constructions of these modules are given and for each module its annihilator is found.     

A new method for exact solutions of variant types of time‐fractional Korteweg‐de Vries equations in shallow water waves

The current article devoted on the new method for finding the exact solutions of some time‐fractional Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) type equations appearing in shallow water waves. We employ the new method here for time‐fractional equations viz. time‐fractional KdV‐Burgers and KdV‐mKdV equations for finding the exact solutions. We use here the fractional complex transform accompanied by properties of local fractional calculus for reduction of fractional partial differential equations to ordinary differential equations. Characterization of canonical classes for systems of linear ODEs

The equivalence group is determined for systems of linear ordinary differential equations in both the standard form and the normal form. It is then shown that the normal form of linear systems reducible by an invertible point transformation to the canonical form y ⁽ⁿ⁾=0 consists of copies of the same iterative scalar equation. It is also shown that contrary to the scalar case, an iterative vector equation need not be reducible to the canonical form by an invertible point transformation. Other properties of iterative linear systems are also derived, as well as a simple algebraic formula for their general solution. Copyright © 2017 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.     

Mild solution of semilinear impulsive integro‐differential evolution equation in Banach spaces

Through solving the problem step by step and by applying the method of a C₀ semigroup of operators combined with the Banach contraction theorem, we investigate the existence and uniqueness of a mild solution of semilinear impulsive integro‐differential evolution equation in Banach spaces. In addition, an explicit iterative approximation sequence of the mild solution is derived. The assumed conditions in the present theorems are weaker and more general, and the results obtained are the generalizations and improvements of some known results. Stability and Neimark–Sacker bifurcation of a ratio‐dependence predator–prey model

In this paper, stability and bifurcation of a two‐dimensional ratio‐dependence predator–prey model has been studied in the close first quadrant . It is proved that the model undergoes a period‐doubling bifurcation in a small neighborhood of a boundary equilibrium and moreover, Neimark–Sacker bifurcation occurs at a unique positive equilibrium. We study the Neimark–Sacker bifurcation at unique positive equilibrium by choosing b as a bifurcation parameter. Some numerical simulations are presented to illustrate theocratical results. Kantorovich variant of a new kind of q‐Bernstein–Schurer operators

Ren and Zeng (2013) introduced a new kind of q‐Bernstein–Schurer operators and studied some approximation properties. Acu et al. (2016) defined the Durrmeyer modification of these operators and studied the rate of convergence and statistical approximation. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a Kantorovich modification of these operators by using q‐Riemann integral and investigate the rate of convergence by means of the Lipschitz class and the Peetre's K‐functional. Next, we introduce the bivariate case of q‐Bernstein–Schurer–Kantorovich operators and study the degree of approximation with the aid of the partial modulus continuity, Lipschitz space, and the Peetre's K‐functional. Finally, we define the generalized Boolean sum operators of the q‐Bernstein–Schurer–Kantorovich type and investigate the approximation of the Bögel continuous and Bögel differentiable functions by using the mixed modulus of smoothness. Furthermore, we illustrate the convergence of the operators considered in the paper for the univariate case and the associated generalized Boolean sum operators to certain functions by means of graphics using Maple algorithms. On entire solutions of two types of systems of complex differential-difference equations

In this paper, we will mainly investigate entire solutions with finite order of two types of systems of differential-difference equations, and obtain some interesting results. It extends some results concerning complex differential (difference) equations to the systems of differential-difference equations.     

The lower order and linear order of multiple dirichlet series

The article investigates the growth of multiple Dirichlet series.The lower order and the linear order of n-tuple Dirichlet series in C~n are defined and some relations between them and the coefficients and exponents of n-tuple Dirichlet series are obtained.
